If you follow me on Instagram you might have noticed a shift lately. I’ve been incorporating more about plants and my garden in both my feed and stories. It’s a natural progression of my inherent love of food. (And by food I’m talking about the plant-based kind.) I rely on plants to both nourish and heal me. And in that reliance I’ve felt a pull to learn as much as I can about them. What health benefits they have, what nutrition they possess, how they’ve been used in the past, and ultimately, how they grow.
This shift has me moving towards the new and uncertain, something I’ve felt coming for a while. While I can’t say yet what everything will look like in the coming months (or years), I know that it has me filled with an indescribable joy for new possibilities. Rest assured that any new developments will be shared here with you on my little corner of the web I’ve carved out for myself over the past seven (!!) years.
That being said, I figured I would share a glimpse into my quickly flourishing garden space. Every inhabitant has a purpose, either for culinary, medicinal, or pollinator use. I’m experimenting this year with growing a bunch of different varietals from seed, something very new to me. It’s quickly teaching me patience as well as acceptance and a little heartache, too.
